Users

Setup: Basic configuration​

The Setup section allows you to manage the basic configuration of X3M. It can be accessed from the Main Menu on the left of the screen.

User profiles​

In the Users section, you'll find a list with a summary of all the users that belong to the organization, listing the username, email, and their profile. You can access this screen from Setup.

Users

There are 3 types of users in X3M:

  • Administrator: has total control and visibility over the organization.
  • Editor: can make changes to the configuration and free creation except for Applications and user management.
  • Viewer: only has reader permission. Certain configurations will not be visible.

New User​

The administrator can create a new user by clicking on the NEW USER button in the top right corner. Complete the form with the

  • Name
  • Email
  • Password.

In the next step, choose the user's profile from the three options mentioned previously. Clicking on Permissions and roles will show you a table with what each user profile can do.

Create new User

To access user editing, it is possible to do it by clicking on the user's name or from the quick actions. Within the editing, both the name and the user profile will be editable. At the same time, the user's status is shown, which can be Active or Blocked.

  • A user may appear as Blocked if they were automatically blocked for failing to log into the platform.
  • As an administrator, you can unblock the user by clicking on Unblock user and saving the changes.
